Happy birthday, Mom!

Let me tell you something right now, folks. My mom is one of the most servant-hearted people in the whole entire world. You probably could have guessed considering she is raising 5 girls ages 18 to 4. When I think of my mom, I think of the people in a play who stand behind the curtain and do all of the work, but are never seen. But, without them, there would be no show. Mom, happy birthday.  I, along with all of the other girls, wouldn't be able to live without your sweet notes of encouragement  throughout the day. All of your acts of love, whether it is making coffee when I'm late or leaving sweet notes lying on the bed with a treat, brighten up my day tremendously. I love you, mom and  I hope you can see how much each of your crazy daughters adore you.

May- My friends like to tell me they come over to see my mom and not me... which is not surprising whatsoever. My mom is the definition of a servant. She lovingly serves behind the scenes with exuberant joy. Her big smile draws a smile out of everyone. My mom leads me by example and in her walk with The Lord. I desire her heart for learning more about Jesus and her tendency to intentionally serve others. Even though ill be away from home next year, I will still seek her wisdom that she is always ready and willing to give. I love you mom, and happy birthday!

Annie- Mama llama- thank you so much for always putting up all of our wants and needs everyday. You are constantly patient with me and always so generous and hospitable with everyone that comes over. I love our long runs and talks and honks we receive on the street. You are the first person I go to when I'm in trouble and your advice is always humbling. I notice myself becoming more and more like you everyday and love you a whole lot -Annie

Mary Van-Mommy- I can't thank you enough for all the hard work you do to put up with us, all the errands you run to support our need, and endless hours loving and serving us. You are the greatest mother any girl could ask for. You are a constant role model in my life and I never want that to change. No matter how bad my attitude, or what grades I have in school, I always know you love me and have my back in anything and everything. Thank you again for every moment, laugh, and hug I shared with you. I will love you forever and always. Don't ever forget that -Mary Van

happy bday mom!- joy (yes, joy typed that all by herself)
